Dear U.S. Mint,

Stop it. Just stop it.

So what's the problem?

Long explanation: Dollar coins are a pain in the ass. Nobody even wants the coins we have now, let alone these new, heavier, more valuable coins. Susan B. Anthony, Sacajawea, and now this? My argument is they should just give up and leave us with our dignity, clutching wads of paper bills as we venture forth into our nation's economic future.

Did you really just explain yourself here? Embarrassing.

Hey, sometimes people need their hands held through a bit. I don't mind.

hey, what's the problem with the new, shiny (for now) dollar coins. They are only heavy if you carry a s--t load around and even with paper dollars, most of us only carry 4 or 5 at most.
Use these and prove the mint right - that we NEED these dollar coins and will use them. After all, people, it is YOUR taxes that pay the salaries of all these mint and bank workers that have to make, store, ship, and count them.
Besides - until we in America finally get it right - like Canada and the U.K., and do away with the paper stuff, it really pisses off most merchants to have to take these dollar coins. Isn't it fun to (nicely) piss off people? I mean after all, you are SPENDING money and pissing off a merchant at the same time. How much more fun can it get?!?!?!

Just wait until there are 15 or 20 different ones of these floating around (one for each dead President) and go to your bank and ask for a Franklin Pierce or a James Buchanan dollar. They'll think you just got off the looney tunes wagon! Fun...
